A popular method of leading from suits without an honour sequence, by which one leads second highest from poor suits and fourth highest from better suits.
Most players treat poor suits as those without an honour, though some regard a ten-high suit as poor too. For example, with 9-7-5- 3 you lead the seven. When using the method, if partner leads a high spot card it is likely to be from a poor suit.
