QUEEN OVER JACK

An assumption made in rubber bridge that the queen lies over the jack of the same suit more often than simple probabilities suggest.

It comes from the theory that on the previous deal the queen may have covered the jack and that, after the trick was gathered, the two cards remained together even after the shuffle.
