CRASHING HONOURS

The playing of two high honours by defenders to the same trick. A deceptive play by declarer can sometimes induce defenders to crash their honours.

For example:

If South, as declarer, leads the queen from dummy, East may decide to cover, causing the defenders to crash their honours.
