A bidding style in which, with two suits, one bids the shorter suit first. In other words, with four hearts and five clubs, you open 1♥ rather than 1♣. The style, the brainchild of Pierre Albarran in France, has influenced Italian bidding theory. It features in the Neapolitan Club, Blue Club and Roman systems.
