Another country in a day! In and out of Verona to see our new hotel on lake Garda.
Looks great. Good food, great hotel and good bridge facilities.
The picture is from the promenade at the front of the hotel which runs all along the lake.
Something to look forward to in October when we have a full party raring to go. Hoping to take the family out just before.
Here I am in Palma airport after a day trip to puerto pollensa. Visiting a hotel with Peter Kirk, the agent that handles our Tunisia and Croatia trips.
It was a very early start, but was glad to come out and see the area. Suitably impressed! Look out for holidays in 2020…
Within ten days we were back at Denham for the new ACOL REBOOT event which we were replacing the filming event with. The same length as before with the same number of seminars too – six in three days!
The atmosphere was as good as ever and had my voice been a little stronger I would have enjoyed it just as much. However, starting with a sore throat and knowing you have a lot of talking to do was a little daunting.
It all went really well though and Alfie and Helen came up to see me for the last two days, cheering us all up with their smiles.
The picture is of the ingredients that Helen suggested for soothing my throat. That is turmeric by the way.
Thanks to all those who supplied medicines particularly Trish for Tyrozets.
Next year it will be Reboot Your Card Play at the same place and for the same time.
I have been on a cruise for 9 days visiting Morocco and then the Canaries.
Today, whilst WhatsApping home Alfie said Da Da for the first time!
I will see him tomorrow to hug him!
The cruise has been busy with two overland tours in Morocco which were pretty intense. Including the tannery:
It has been a successful cruise but I have certainly missed the family.
Just one more event before Christmas in Dartmoor and then a month of family time including Alfie’s first birthday coming up.
I bought him a Moroccan outfit to wear…
It has been some time since my last post as I get ready for my first sojourns abroad since becoming a Father.
I finished just over a week ago with a Bridge weekend in Worthing. Since then we had a great week of weather which Alfie loves, but now back to APRIL showers.
Loving being a father but looking ahead with trepidation to flying to Croatia on Monday.
After 3 weeks with Alfie I am now back at work. Denham Grove for Twixmas and then for New Year.
Missing my boy but with FaceTime or Skype I can still keep tabs. Although so far on each occasion he has been sleeping.
Plenty of fun at the event where we are covering competitive bidding.
However this evening is normal duplicate. Here is one of the hands in play:
It will be interesting to see the results later. You can look on our Bridge webs page as well (bridgewebs/mrbridge).
Meanwhile I am sure Alfie is still sleeping.
